Upper Dolpo trek is a wild experience of Nepal’s remote and rugged far west which is home to Shey Phoksondo, one of the highest animal concentration parks in the world. Upper Dolpo region borders Tibet, where the culture and much of the landscape is similar to its northern neighbor. Upper Dolpo was once a restricted area that only opened for tourism in 1989. This trek is a trek filled with fun and nepali wilderness giving you an amazing adventure accompanied by various landscapes, diverse flora and fauna in the Shey Phoksundo national park and other hidden beauty. You can explore the 800 years old Shey gompa monastery, Crystal mountain and observe the unique buddhist culture.
