Description
Hillary trail is the first trail of Everest region to reach the Everest base camp and its surrounding area. Hillary trail is named after the Late Sir Edmund Hillary who was the first person to scale the highest peak of the world alongside Tenzing Norgay Sherpa. The Hillary trail is the route that Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa took to summit towards Mt.Everest.
You can visit many Buddhist monasteries (Tengboche, pangboche etc.) and traditional sherpa villages of the Khumbu region. This trail starts from Jiri which is also known as the Switzerland of Nepal. The road is accessible further ahead to Shivalaya/Bhandar now-a-days.
You will experience many Mountain ranges and the natural beauty of Nepal throughout your exciting journey. You will also get to see the beautiful culture of buddhism. Beautiful detailed monasteries can be seen almost at every village where trekkers pass by. This journey is an adventurous one where you can see many beautiful pristine himalayas throughout your journey.
