Everst Base Camp Via Gokyo – Chola Pass, Island Peak and Mera Peak including Kongma La and Amphu Laptsa Pass climbing adventure - 2022. Description
This is a challenging, high altitude Peak climbing adventure for the fit and discerning trekker and Peak climber. It provides the most spectacular mountain scenery in the Everest region and five superb objectives – the Cho La (5,420m/17,777ft), and the summits of GokyoRi (5,360m/17,585ft), Kala Pathar (5,545m/18,188ft) and Khumbu glacier and an amazing climbing experience of both peak Island (5800m) and Mera (6100m). This itinerary takes you off-the-beaten-track into the little-trekked Dudh Koshi valley, to Gokyo then over the GokyoRi, Tso – La Pass from Gokyo lake, which by passes parts of the main Everest trail.
The Cho La pass links the Gokyo Valley to the main trail to Everest Base Camp. The pass offers superb views of the snow-capped giants of the Khumbu, including AmaDablam, Lhotse, Nuptse, Cholatse and Makalu. Even the climbing itself is very challenging but climbing over Island peak and Mera peak gives you really great experience of peak climbing as well as superb view of 4 highest mountains such as Everest, Cho-oyou, Lhotse sar, Makalu and Kanchanjangha. Both Peaks are very popular as trekking peak and preparation climbing peak for the Everest expedition. The classic trekking challenges of GokyoRi and KalaPathar, both summits provides outstanding views of Everest and many other 8,000m and 7,000m peaks which are the complete reward of the trek.
